what are the most romantic/saddest movies of all time?
what is the most saddest movie or most romantic movie you can think of?
i love sad movies that make me want to cry like dumbo where his mom sings to him or in bambi when his mom gets shot and the scene in fox and the hound where the old lady leaves the fox in the woods all alone.

I agree with Jenny, Message in a Bottle was the first one I thought of…both sad and romantic. Beaches is probably the saddest movie I’ve ever seen. The Notebook is romantic and sad. A Walk in the Clouds…romantic. Dying Young. If you like non-contemporary…The Ghost & Mrs. Muir. Ok, here’s a good one…1939 Bette Davis in Dark Victory. Jane Wyman & Rock Hudson in Magnificent Obsession. ENJOY!

Gift ideas for the Hunter?
I’m doing Christmas shopping for my boyfriend who likes to duck hunt, like a lot. It’s really all he talks about (getting a new gun, where he can join a new lease, if he can go up north and hunt, what he needs to do to get ready for tomorrows hunt), when he’s not hunting, he’s getting ready for going the next time.

So I’m doing some holiday shopping for him, and I’m kind of lost on what else to get him. I’m a total city girl, and he’s a 21 year old country man from Louisiana; let’s just say this stuff isn’t my expertise, lol.

So far I’ve bought him a waterproof Drake logo hat, a Drake hoodie, a Drake Fleece-Lined Pullover, and a camo dog bed.

That’s all of the big presents I bought him, now I’m trying to get some stocking stuffers. I bought a camo deck of cards, camo writing pens, and a waterproof wallet (for his licenses and stuff). I plan on baking some homemade cookies to put in there and getting some boxers.

What else can I buy for his stocking? Something kind of small, and some what inexpensive. He likes to hunt for other things, like deer *poor Bambi :’-/ *, hogs, rabbits *poor Thumper :’-/ *, squirrels, etc.

Thanks so much! I appreciate everything :-)

Holy cow. It sounds like you are going to spoil the man. Most people come on here and have no idea what to get their hunting friends/fiances/boyfriends/husbands. It sounds like you got it all covered. As for small gifts, maybe a simple and cheap pocket knife. Something under $10. Outdoors people like to have knives with them.

I’ve done this (I like to joke around during Christmas too)- individually wrap some shotgun shells/rifle cartridges.

Some other stocking stuffers
- A head lamp or light that clips to his hat
- Gloves
- Gun solvents
- Bore brushes (depending on if he uses them- need to know what caliber/s and gauge/s he uses)
- Pocket knife/folding knife
- Gift card

The ideas you’ve listed already are good ones. Nice job ‘city girl’.

How about leather care products to waterproof his boots?

Other ideas…
Packages of batteries (for his flashlights or other equipment).
An extra compass doesn’t hurt.
Topographical map(s) of areas he hunts.
Chemical hand-warmers.
Dog treats (for the dog).
Detergent designed for hunting clothing (is odor free and won’t leave residues that glow when exposed to ultraviolet light).
Movie Theater gift certificates (not hunting related, but is a good stocking stuffer gift).
A Lottery Ticket (stocking stuffer item).

One other stray thought… how about finding a hobby or activity both you and your boyfriend will enjoy doing together?

Wishing you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas.

I think a threesome with your best friend would be the ultimate gift. I bet he would love it.
