Is Obama like Caesar in ''Conquest of the Planet of the Apes''?

FOX News is the best | Nov 05, 2009

NO they just look that way! and if you keep using animals in questions like this PETA will come after you for being cruel to animals!
brutal | Nov 01, 2009

Well Ceaesar didn’t spend 11 trillion dollars in one year, other than that. yea pretty much
Don't Ask Stupid questions | Nov 01, 2009

Obama is more like James Cagney in Little Caeser and Wright is more like Mad Murdock from the A-team.
BO the Magic Jeep | Nov 01, 2009

Don’t like the movie. I think you are going to be deleted for this one. You shouldn’t compare people to apes you know. 2 points
Dave | Nov 01, 2009

Oh no! I think we all know where this is going. Pull out those semi-automatic racist shooters libs!
The Hearse Driver | Nov 01, 2009

Obama is quite hansom men, Neocon.Comparing him to an ape is pure Racism.
Lying Republican Moron | Nov 01, 2009

Yes and yes. The scene with Heston in the field waking up only to see a monkey on horse back standing over him is a perfect statement of how Americans feel with Obama as president.
Jared | Nov 01, 2009

Mike | Nov 01, 2009

Could Islamists return humanity to the stone age?
Its been done before, as in the dark ages, the barbarian invasions and with islamic conquests of superior hindu and egyptian civilizations.

We like to imagine human progress as a straightline-postive slope…without interruption or end, but, as with the sci-fi depiction in "planet of the apes", if we play out all the possiblities, surely we must admitt that a long and almost permanent reversal could occur with the combination of religious fanatism (islam) and nuclear or biological weapons of armegedon.

Its no coincidence they live in the stone age and literally hate all who dont. Some say its already happening…for example, the airline industry is almost bankrupt and the Islamists know it. With every new attack, successful or not, new security measures are employed, costs increase, less travelers can afford to fly and thus less profits are able to be realized.

Imagine a bankrupt airline industry…islamists bringing civlization to its knees before the cuo de gra.

the already have………
in their countries

I don’t think so. But they are sure as hell gonna try.
ramblin guy | Aug 14, 2006

the Islamic world was hundereds of years ahead of the rest of the world before the crusades came and they stole all their ideas and left them in the dust. They havent been able to recover from that since.

Looks more like something the Christians are busy doing to me.
Don H | Aug 14, 2006

You cannot blame this all on Muslims….Society was doing bad before any of this happened. History is nothing but societies dieing. Shit happens. O well. We regrow.

It would more likely, return humanity back to the 1840s or earlier, when women slaves were legal, to have.

WW3 Will be fought with nuclear bombs.
WW4 will be fought with sticks and stones.

So I guess it’s possible.

Any middle eastern religion and its decendants could send us into the stone age.
When religion ruled, they called it the Dark Ages.
New Dad | Aug 14, 2006

I can see that happening. Look what happened in Somalia, the islamic extremists overtook that poor country, and immediately murdered two men for watching soccer. No one seems to be doing anything to stop them, so I see all of Africa eventually being forced into an extremist islamic reign. I’m quite sure they won’t stop at Africa. I simply don’t remember where in the bible it said soccer is evil, but maybe that’s just in their koran, everything else seems to be evil in the koran, except pedophilia, so why not soccer?

some pretty good answers alredy here. and yes, they have every intention of returning everyone to slavery and bigotry - especially women. and yes - ALL muslems are to blame as they harbor and protect the islamic extremists within their and other countries. If "it " wears a diaper on it’s head - "it " is most likely dangerous. "It" can be any foul thing you can imagine as these people are all that is bad - and more.
intelligent_friendlistener | Aug 14, 2006

Be careful about your labels….an Islamist is simply an believer of Islam that thinks that principles of the religion should be incorporated into government. The Islamic extremists are the ones hijacking airplanes. This is a pretty important distinction to make because the percentage of the people who believe in Islam who are "Islamists" is very small, and still smaller is the percentage of "Islamists" who are extreme or fundamentalist in their views. So, being as these people are pretty small in number in relation to the rest of their religious world, it’s unlikely that the majority of people who make decisions in this world would look at the actions of these relatively few whack-jobs and equate that with Islam as a whole.

And you speak of a bankrupt airline industry as if no plane is ever allowed to fly again. Since when did bankruptcy mean instant destruction of any sort of function whatsoever? Granted, the airline industry is struggling, but there are a lot more airlines in the world besides United, American, and Delta. Not every airline in the world is on the edge of total annihilation.

The term Jahiliyya, which traditionally refers to humanity’s state of barbaric ignorance before the revelation of Islam, to modern-day Muslim societies. The removal of Islamic law and religious values (particularly after the period of barbaric European colonization) had left the Muslim world in a condition of debased ignorance, similar to that of the pre-Islamic era (i.e. Jahiliyya).

Mankind today is on the brink of a precipice, not because of the danger of complete annihilation which is hanging over its head-this being just a symptom and not the real disease -but because humanity is devoid of those vital values which are necessary not only for its healthy development but also for its real progress. Even the Western world realises that Western civilization is unable to present any healthy values for the guidance of mankind. It knows that it does not possess anything which will satisfy its own conscience and justify its existence.

For further information, I suggest you refer to the following work: Yahiya Emerick’s The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Understanding Islam 2nd edition. It should be available through your local library system or bookstores or you can order it online from Amazon.com.

Do you think my parents didnt’ half belive me or not.Why didnt’ my mum go in and complain to the school. Iike I said I spoke to my mum about a few years and she just said but she didnt’ last long though did she as well.
I remember once when I was in this old Primary school and their was this special needs Assistant who was a women. On her first day their in the class with me she was asking me how old I was I was about 9 or 10 she asked me if I wore a bra or a vest I said a vest she then asked me if I had started my periods I said no.She then told me not to tell anyone and said that friends don’t’ tell on each other and that friends keep secrets. Then a other day when I was in the playground that S.NA came up to me and asked me if I was wearing a jumper and a vest I said yes I then started walking away to line up because break was over you she then said in a angry Voice I must check you could clearly see I was wearing a jumper because I was wearing no coat she then put her hand down my top inside my vest she had her hand down there for about 5 Min’s she did this in front of everyone she then stopped and told me not to tell anyone else a boy then asked me what she was doing I said she was just checking if I had a vest on he said no more to me I didn’t’ tell anyone. Then a other day in the playground when break was over I was in line up she asked me to undone the buttons on my shirt just I was about to do it it was then time to go back up to class. Then one day in the toilets my friend who was a girl told me she asked her the same questions and put her hand down her top too the S.N.A also told her not to tell anyone else about it my friend then said she didn’t like her.My friend was about 12 or 11 at that time. The Special needs Assistant then after a while left the school don’t’ ask me why..So do you think this was abuse im gone from the school now. The S.NA was quite young. The school was a special needs school. This happened years ago.Maybe im just confused I don’t’ knew.
When I was older I told my mum about what the women did and my mum just asked was she old or young I said young she then said maybe the women was just trying to be friendly and said thats what women and young girls talk about she just said it was stupid. I remember a few weeks after it happend I came home and told my mum and dad my mum then asked me on my own did she tell me not to tell anyone else I said no becuase I couldnt remember she then just told me to stay away form her and said if she trys to do up your shirt or anything just tell her I can do it myself the next day the women actually tryed to do that becuase my shirt was undone I did what my mum said and I remember form then on that the S.N.A stayed away form me and soon after she left the school. My did just sad you could tell a teacher about that and nothing more. my mum asked me were thier any more problems with the S.N.A I just told her about her trying do my shirt up and told I did what she said to do.
