*** Being mentally ill does not mean that you can’t be both intelligent and extremely talented-GIFTED-even an GENIUS! Some of the most creatively gifted "GENIUS" people alive on this planet are somewhat insane! I saw the bruises on my mom’s frail body (& I later read her entire journal). Both my mother’s "sisters" had the NERVE to say to my mother (and to me) that my mother threw herself against a wall! (That isn’t what happened.) I handed over to the people who investigate these types of things the entire contents of the journal my mom kept when she was recently locked up in McLean’s mental hospital in Ma. There is still "surprisingly" a terrible, terrible STIGMA on mental illness. In case anybody out there reading this is "worried" that Lora has somehow "betrayed" her mother-I have not betrayed my mom in any way. My mom asked me to put her poem out in cyberspace. ***Neither Lora nor her mother give one flying f what the rest of the "so called" family thinks or wants kept "quiet"….. "God Forbid You Ever Had To Walk A Mile In Her Shoes … (EVERLAST) *My "aunt" L (who USED to be my good friend but SADLY turned into another "auntie" M") had the AUDACITY to say to my mother (in response to my mother’s incredible poem called "STORY OF THE MENTALLY ILL") "Mental hospitals are not like that, E". You have NEVER been "locked up" in a mental hospital, L! (Sarcasm intended.) Who does anybody think that they are telling anybody else what they have or have not suffered in this life? Lora has NEVER been in either jail or a mental hospital (for any length of time) but would Lora ever say to a human being who had been in one of those places (for any length of time) "Those places are not like that"? How could my aunt L say that to my poor mother? It blows my mind-the AUDACITY of too many people on this planet! (Sarcasm Intended-anger suppressed-to avoid my own incarceration!)

God and the seven deadly sins?
If the seven deadly sins are so vital to worship him, why is it he practically breaks every single one?

Sloth - What exactly does he do? I mean, he apparently created the earth on the 6 days, then since day 7 he seems to sit there and do nothing… Well, bar the occasional slaughter of a city…

Which brings me to the next sin:

Wrath - Kinda stands to reason. He destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah because they weren’t following his tennets. Revelation includes him destroying the world for much the same reasons. Seems kinda wrathful to me.

Pride/Envy/Greed - He is so proud of himself that you are demanded to only follow him and his ways or risk eternal damnation. Essentially, he wants everyone to himself as he is the best being out there. And who fail to follow, are damned… (once again on to wrath!)

Lust - He encouraged his men to slay those who were married or ‘broken’ and ‘take’ those who weren’t (Book of Numbers), he effectively raped Mary who was a ‘virgin’ before hand and suddenly he apparently impregnated her and so on… Not only lustful, but highly immoral.

Gluttony… Ok well, I suppose right now I cannot think of anything for Gluttony, but hell, one out of 7 is hardly good is it?

It strikes me as a parent on a hedonistic binge, whilst telling their adolescent teenager to ‘Do as I say, not as I do"…

Or am I the only one who sees this?
For those offended at the prospect of God ‘raping’ the virgin mary, I apologise.

But the simple fact of the matter is, if you take a woman without her say so (regardless of how they feel about it afterwards) it would still be classified as such.

If you find my point of view offensive, then I am afraid I am not going to change how I see things to suit your wishes.

As for being ungrateful? I have my own Gods. I am neither grateful nor ungrateful to God. I simply do not believe.

This is simply intended to those who do follow it to see their judgements on it.

Well i look at it like this .. nowhere in any accepted sacred texts are there listed 7 deadly sins .. in fact most sacred texts say there is no hierarchy of sin .. if you sin you sin .. and pay the price. The only exception i know of is in Christianity if you blaspheme the Holy Spirit .. and that is not well defined as to exactly what it is .. probably for good reason.

There’s always loop holes in everything now. The point of religion is to not look that close. Yes, I believe what some of what you said is true, but maybe the Church or whoever was trying to show that even though we’re truly just human we can thrive and try to become something greater.

Whatever keeps our jails emptier and our taxes lower, I’m all for people teaching moral values. It just depends on who’s morals you agree with, but we have them.

Sloth - Resting on the Seventh Day is not Sloth, but recreation. Recreation is healthy to a normal lifestyle, and God did this to show an example. Also, we must understand this in an allegorical sense. The book of Genesis goes back to 700BC, so obviously the author wasn’t there. The Bible in its entirety shouldn’t be taken all literally, like poems.
Wrath - Do you know what He did with the people after they died? I don’t. I don’t know if He had mercy on them, and neither do you. We do not know the whole picture, and that’s where the fallacy lies here. Also, God is working in these ways because of our imperfections and so, like children, the people of that time understood those types of actions as children do. "Don’t Sodomize or it will lead to your demise."
Pride/Envy/Greed - He’s proud? He’s God. there is nothing greater than God, philosophically speaking. Honestly, why wouldn’t He think about Himself? God, by definition, accounts for all existence, and He is all Good. He respects our choice to follow Him or not. Eternal damnation is essentially NOT following God. That’s what damnation is.
Lust - To say God "raped" Mary is not only insulting but ignorant. She herself said, "Be it done to me according to Your word." It seems like you’re the wrathful/slothful one for making that comment and not knowing your sources because you’re making such bold statements.
Gluttony - God desires to consume our love which He wants us to freely give Him. Is that bad to you, too?

We have the technology to create a reasonably good AI system, however there are holdbacks on creating a full AI system. What would you think of robots able to think for themselves? Machines that will take over most of the jobs because they can do it better, faster, and come up with their own ways of doing it to be even more efficient? Humans won’t stand for it. They won’t all be like Data from Star Trek. If machines could fully think for themselves, would they be rational, logical and know right from wrong, or would they have human irrationality and hypocrisy and have to deal with what’s termed "fuzzy logic" that humans possess?

It’s a scary thought.. super-intelligent thinking machines that possess human flaws. Or non-human flaws that humans can’t deal with.

Deja Vu (2006) IMDB rating: 7.10 Plot: After an explosion on a ferry kills over 500 people including a large group of party-going sailors, an ATF agent investigates the crime. AN FBI agent also joins the investigation. Impressed with the ATF agent’s skills, the FBI agent invites him to join a new team that has a new program that uses satellite technology to look backwards in time for 4-1/2 days to try to capture the terrorist. Meanwhile a young woman who was burned washes up on shore. Meant to look like part of of the explosion, the body arrives at its location too soon, which leads the agents to believe her death is related to the explosion. As they use the new technology to study the woman, the ATF agent determines that this is not satellite imagery but somehow is using a time warp. From this point in the film, the movie moves from a crime film to a sci-fi time paradox film. Nonetheless, the action is non-stop and always captivating. The end of the film may be confusing to some people, but it is all laid out if one cares to look carefully. Contains some extreme violence that some may find disturbing, particularly during the explosion when many people are shown jumping off the boat in flames.

I have enrolled to 2 schools. Lets call them school 1 and school 2.

And school 1 has lots of those kinda people and i thought that school 1 would be a fresh start (coz no 1 in my current school is going 2 school 1) but its gonna be like deja vu!!!!

I want to go 2 school 2 coz its near my house and it suits me more. like the fact that they have a performing arts studio and I love that kind of stuff.

For school 1 im number 5 on the waiting list and for school 2 I can go any time!!

If im accepted for school 1 then I HAVE to go coz of my parents. I want 2 tell my parents about how I feel about school 1 but I NEVER tell them about this sort of thing!

So what should I do?
I cant drop out, im forced 2 go by my parents.
